What to expect when you sign up for Hiya Branded Call

If your business makes outbound calls, you know how important it is for customers to recognize and trust who’s calling. Hiya Connect can help you maximize your call performance by establishing trust and improving call answer rates.

Hiya Connect includes Number Registration for free, and premium Branded Call features you can get with a paid plan. By opting for Branded Call, you can display your business name, logo, and call reason on outbound calls to ensure customers know who’s calling. Here’s what you can expect when you sign up for Hiya Branded Call, how long the process takes, and what features you’ll have access to once it’s completed.

Getting started: What happens when you sign up?

The signup process is simple, and you’ll get immediate access to your account where you’ll manage your phone numbers and branding. However, there is a short vetting process which will need to be completed before you can access all features.

👉 If you’re upgrading your account: If you’ve already set up an account to use the free features of Hiya Connect, you can upgrade your account to include Branded Call features. Just log in, click “Branded Call” in the left navigation menu, choose “Get Started with Branded Call”, and select a plan.

During signup, you’ll be asked to set your login credentials and provide the following business information:

  • Business name(s) including DBA
  • Physical address of headquarters
  • Data Universal Number System (DUNS) number, if known (optional but highly recommended for the speediest setup)

After you submit your business information during account setup, it will be verified by the Hiya Vetting Services team, a process that typically takes up to a few business days. Once you create your account login and while you’re waiting for the vetting process to be completed, you will get immediate access to free features of Hiya Connect in your account. This will allow you to register your business numbers, helping to reduce spam labeling risk.

 

After vetting is completed, the Branded Call features will be made available in your account and you’ll be able to set up branded calling for your outbound calls, as well as access the other features of Branded Call (such as performance analytics and tags).

 

Inside your Hiya account: what you can do

After signing up, you will get immediate access to your account, which is where you’ll access and manage all features of Hiya Connect in the self-service interface.

1. Get started with Number Registration (immediately available)

You can access the free features of Hiya Connect immediately, which enable you to register your business numbers across the Hiya Network.

What does this do for you? It establishes you as a legitimate caller to carriers that deliver calls, which in turn can help reduce the risk of your calls being flagged as spam. It’s a great first step to take while you’re waiting for call branding features to become available.

 

2. Manage and customize your branded calls (after business vetting)

Once the vetting process has been completed for your business, Branded Call features become available. At this point, you can:

Upload your phone numbers – Add the numbers that you would like to brand, either individually or in bulk.

Create your branded caller ID – Set up your default call branding in accordance with Hiya’s Branding Guidelines. This can include a display name, logo, and call reason that recipients will see.

Customize branding by number – Assign different branding settings to individual numbers if desired.

Tip: If you registered numbers while waiting for vetting to be completed, you’ll still need to configure your branding settings and add the phone numbers that will receive branding. Don’t skip this step!

 

3. Monitor Branded Call performance with analytics

After launching branded calls, you’ll gain access to performance insights such as:


📊 Answer rate – See how many of your calls get picked up.

📊 Callback rate – Measure how often recipients return your missed calls.

📊 Call duration – Track how long calls last after being answered.

📊 Spam label rate – See what percentage of your calls are being flagged as spam.

📊 User reports & feedback – See what percentage of your calls are being reported as spam by users, and view real comments to help improve the customer call experience.

 

4. Organize & manage your phone numbers

Hiya Connect also makes it easy to manage your phone numbers. In your account, you’ll be able to:

📂 Tag numbers – Easily label numbers for organization and reporting.

🔄 Modify branding as needed – Change your branded caller ID settings anytime.

📅 Track Branded Call usage over time – Understand trends in call performance.

 

How long until calls are branded?

Once you’ve set up your account, there are a couple steps that need to happen before branding will show up on your outbound calls:

  1. Your business information will need to be verified by the Hiya Vetting Services team. This typically takes up to a few business days to complete, and you’ll get access to Branded Call features once that’s done.
  2. You’ll need to add and configure your numbers for branding. Once you have access to Branded Call features, this is something you can do in minutes.
  3. Branded calls typically start displaying within 24-48 hours after setup.
  4. You’ll see data about your calls within about 3 days after those calls take place. Metrics that are reported on a monthly basis will appear after the current month has ended.

Final steps: what you'll see once set up

After setup, outbound calls from your branded numbers will display with the business name, as well as the logo and call reason on select devices and carriers. You can continuously refine your branding, monitor performance, and adjust strategies in your account.
