Hiya Named One of Seattle’s Best Places to Work by Built In

For the fourth consecutive year in a row, Built In has named Hiya one of its best places to work in Seattle. Ranked 42nd on the list, we were also named to the best midsize companies and best paying companies list.

Built In determines winners based on data about compensation, benefits, and cultural programs. Rank is determined by combining a company’s score in each of these categories.

Over the past year, the Hiya team expanded in every department, while continuing to invest in the culture Hiyans have described as close-knit, passionate, and collaborative–even from afar, as remote work is still in full swing due to the pandemic. We added nearly 50 new employees over the past 12 months, increasing our international team by over 30%. We also continued to invest in our diversity and inclusion initiatives. In the coming year, we’ll be rolling out a variety of manager training programs and wellness initiatives.

Chad, one of Hiya’s software engineers, answered Built In’s question, “How do you collaborate with other teams in the company?” with this answer:

“We include key members from each team in the project kickoffs, sprint planning, and retrospectives. We talk to each other constantly and have meetings when it’s necessary to get things done. We also keep improving ourselves to make the next project better.”

We are looking forward to a great 2022 with the Hiya team! To learn more about becoming a Hiyan, check out our careers page for more information and the latest opportunities.
